Meaning and Explanation

Al-Haqq names Allah as the Truth and the truly real, rightful object of worship. Al-Hajj 22:6 places the name beside resurrection and complete power. Al-Hajj 22:62 and Luqman 31:30 contrast Allah as Al-Haqq with the falsehood of what is invoked besides Him. An-Nur 24:25 speaks of the Day when full recompense is given and people know that Allah is the manifest Truth. The name is larger than the statement “my opinion is correct.” The root h-q-q includes truth, reality, right, and what is established in its proper place. Because human beings value truth, they are tempted to attach the divine name to their own interpretation. A scholar, movement, or individual may hold a strong conviction and still misunderstand evidence, overstate certainty, or apply a principle badly. Al-Haqq does not make the speaker infallible. Truthfulness requires methods suited to the question. Revelation, Arabic language, recognized scholarship, historical evidence, scientific inquiry, eyewitness testimony, and legal proof do not all function identically. A responsible page encourages the reader to distinguish source types and degrees of certainty rather than using pious confidence to bridge every gap. The name also forbids coercive shortcuts. If a claim is true, people are still responsible for presenting it honestly, acknowledging limits, and refusing manipulation. Editing an opponent's words, hiding inconvenient evidence, or humiliating a questioner cannot be purified by saying the conclusion serves truth. Humility before Al-Haqq includes correction. Retraction is not betrayal of truth when evidence requires it. A believer can hold this humility by saying, “This is what I understand, this is the evidence, and Allah knows best,” without collapsing every issue into relativism. Conviction and intellectual accountability can coexist.
