TRANSPARENCY

SOURCE POLICY

On this page we explain the license status of the Quran text, translation, tafsir, and audio sources we use, the terms under which we use them, and how we handle any changes or disputes.

English Translation

Confirmed (by terms)QuranEnc — Noor International Center (v1.1.2)

For the English translation we use the translation published under the QuranEnc key english_saheeh (currently version 1.1.2, issued by the Noor International Center) by QuranEnc (quranenc.com). QuranEnc's own API/terms page explicitly states that translations may be downloaded and republished. Terms: the text cannot be altered, the source and version must be shown, and no inappropriate advertising may accompany it. We meet all of these terms; no separate written permission has been sought and none is required. All 6,236 verses and footnotes were fingerprint-verified against the live QuranEnc catalogue on 2026-07-25.

Tafsir

Confirmed (by terms)QuranEnc — Al-Mukhtasar Tafsir

QuranEnc's Al-Mukhtasar Tafsir currently powers the short tafsir summary on the Turkish site's verse pages. An English tafsir summary has not been published yet. License terms are the same as the translation, and every entry will credit the source as "QuranEnc — Al-Mukhtasar Tafsir" once it ships.

Audio (Recitation)

Confirmed (community-verified)Islamic Network CDN

Audio is streamed from cdn.islamic.network. Written confirmation for commercial, ad-supported, non-paywalled streaming was obtained from an Islamic Network community representative (username: meezaan); a screenshot of this confirmation is archived by the site owner. Audio files are never copied to our own storage — only streamed.

Article and FAQ Content

Articles and FAQ entries on this site are drafted with the help of AI-assisted tools for preliminary research, then reviewed by the editor for religious accuracy and source alignment. Every hadith, tafsir, and academic source cited is stated clearly and cross-checked against the original sources. VerseSurah is not a religious ruling authority; any specialist review that was actually performed on specific content is disclosed explicitly on that content.
