Why This Site Exists

VerseSurah started from a personal need: a fast, clean, uncluttered way to reach the Quran. Many Quran resources face performance, advertising-density, or mobile-usability problems. This site was built to close that gap, as a one-person effort, and is still run that way.

This means the site isn't a corporate publication — it's an independent project maintained carefully by one person, which keeps accountability for content quality and source selection in one place.

Qualifications and Role Limits

To be clear: Kadir Özbek is not a scholar, mufti, or theologian with formal religious education. As publisher and technical lead, the role is to carry the Quran's Arabic text and translations faithfully and without alteration from licensed, attributed sources like Tanzil Project and QuranEnc; to publish guidance content such as blog posts and topic pages with visible sources, cautious language, and no absolute-outcome claims; and to run the site's technical infrastructure — hosting, security, and data privacy.

This boundary is deliberate: the site does not claim religious authority outside its scope. Questions requiring a definitive religious ruling are not answered as the site's own ruling; recognized, attributed sources are presented, and readers are directed to qualified religious guidance for personal cases.

Content Standards

Published articles, topic pages, and dua guides on this site follow sourcing, cautious-language, and content-quality standards. Religiously sensitive topics never use language that carries the weight of a definitive ruling or fatwa — instead, a source is cited and hedged language ("it is narrated", "a commonly held view") is used.

The Quran's Arabic text and translations aren't our own interpretation — they come from sources like Tanzil Project and QuranEnc, whose attribution and licence status are listed openly on our Sources page. Published guidance such as blog posts and topic pages follows standards for source visibility, links to related pages, and avoiding absolute-outcome claims.
