TRANSPARENCY

CORRECTION POLICY

As a platform presenting the Quran and religious content, being open about errors is fundamental to building trust. Here we explain what happens when you find an error and how we act on it.

Error Severity Levels

P0 — Critical

A typo in the Quran text, an incorrect translation, a wrong hadith attribution, or a religiously misleading statement. Corrected urgently (24-hour target).

P1 — Important

A missing source citation, a date/number error, or a misleading phrasing. Assessed within 48 hours.

P2 — Minor

A spelling or typographical error, inconsistent formatting. Addressed in the next editing pass.

Correction Process

  1. 1Report: A report is submitted via the "Report an Issue" button, the /hata-bildir page, or the contact form.
  2. 2Assessment: The content manager reviews the report and cross-checks it against the sources cited on the page.
  3. 3Verification: If the error is confirmed, the content is updated. VerseSurah is not a religious ruling authority; reports are assessed through source verification and editorial review, and any specialist review that was actually performed is disclosed explicitly on that specific content.
  4. 4Logging: The correction is documented in the log on this page. No "update note" is added to the content page itself, unless the error was seriously misleading.
  5. 5Notification: If an email address was shared via "I would like a reply," the content manager may reply to it directly after reviewing the report. No automatic confirmation or outcome email is sent.

Report an Error

If you notice an error, use the "Report an Issue" button on the relevant page, the Report an Issue page, or our Contact form. Including the following in your report speeds up the process:

  • ·The URL of the page with the error
  • ·The specific statement or section you believe is incorrect
  • ·A source for the correct information (if available)
