About This Surah

Surah Al-Qiyamah affirms resurrection through the self-reproaching soul, human reconstruction, final upheaval, and personal awareness of excuses. It instructs the Messenger not to rush his tongue while receiving revelation and contrasts faces looking toward their Lord with faces expecting calamity. Its reference to fingertips supports complete re-creation but should not be exaggerated into a modern forensic-science prediction.

Al-Qiyamah opens with oaths by the Day of Resurrection and the self-reproaching soul. Human beings question whether bones can be assembled, and the answer affirms that even fingertips can be restored. The point is precise divine re-creation; the verse need not be marketed as a prediction of fingerprint science.

People may deny because they want to continue without restraint and ask when the Day will come. Cosmic disruption and recognition of the final destination follow, but no calendar date is given. Each person is a witness against the self even while offering excuses.

The Messenger is instructed not to move his tongue hastily with revelation. Collection, recitation, and explanation are placed under divine care. This passage concerns receiving revelation and should not be turned into a general ban on learning strategies or speech assistance.

The chapter contrasts immediate love of worldly life with neglect of the Hereafter, then describes death reaching the collarbones and the recognition that departure has arrived. These scenes must not be used for suicide romanticization, death prediction, or withholding palliative and medical care.

The closing argues from human reproductive origin to resurrection. It invites humility without reducing people to biology or supplying a complete medical text.

  • Resurrection and precise re-creation
  • The self-reproaching moral conscience
  • Excuses exposed by self-knowledge
