7-DAY FRIDAY / AL-KAHF PLAN

Reading the entirety of Surah Al-Kahf in one sitting on Friday is impractical for most people given its 110 verses. This seven-day plan divides the surah around its four main stories, offering a sustainable reading routine that reaches the end every week. Day one opens with the surah's introduction and the beginning of the People of the Cave story. Day two completes the story of the young men who took refuge in the cave. Day three covers the story of the owner of two gardens who trusted his wealth and forgot gratitude; day four is devoted to the parable describing the transience of worldly life. Day five covers the story of Moses and Al-Khidr, and day six covers the surah's closing with the story of Dhul-Qarnayn. Day seven — Friday — completes the week with a repetition of the surah's first ten verses and a short summary of the four stories. This structure resolves the worry of 'I should read Al-Kahf on Friday but I don't have time' by breaking it into small, manageable pieces spread across the week. The portion suggested for each day is chosen to preserve the integrity of that story, so no story is left half-finished before moving to the next day.
